Jarvis Buchanan

Communal minded, enduring, disciplined

Jarvis has been part of the Attune community since 2024. He is the founder and former program director of Hood Heroes, a Chicago-based nonprofit with a deep commitment to employing, empowering, and equipping youth.

Through Attune’s Greenhouse Training Cohort and leadership focus groups, Jarvis has grown in integrating his gifts, faith, and leadership, particularly in helping others seek God in the work they are called to do. He currently works as a boxing instructor with the Chicago Park District and competes as a professional boxer.

Jarvis serves with Attune by helping facilitate workshops for teams longing to listen more attentively to God’s voice and direction. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, singing, and spending quality time with his six-year-old daughter.
